Full Internet access is now available to all callers to deltaComm Online, the Telix Support BBS, via high speed connections.
Since being named the third best BBS in the world by readers of Boardwatch Magazine, we haven't been resting on our laurels. We've installed a T1 leased line running at 1,548,000 bps, and hooked it directly into the Information Superhighway. This gives callers to deltaComm Online the ability to telnet and ftp to other sites, and the ability to use other services like IRC (Internet Relay Chat), Archie, Gopher, and the World Wide Web. It also means that you can now call into deltaComm Online via telnet, saving you the long distance charges.
Our file colleciton has also grown and continues to grow by leaps and bounds daily. We average 20 megabytes of new shareware and freeware files daily, acquired from a variety of sources. The complete file collection currently has over 90,000 files and 12 gigabytes (12,000 megabytes) of files you may download.
deltaComm Online now offers all registered Telix users the basic BB subscription of Internet Email, Usenet Newsgroups, inbound telnet, and access to the new files absolutely FREE.
A wider array of services including the outbound Internet services (IRC, WWW, FTP, Telnet, Archie, FINGER, WHOIS, etc.), and larger download limits is available as low as $9.95 per month. Compare this to services which charge $20 or more per month!
Also available for Power Surfers is a direct connection to the Internet via SLIP/PPP dialup, for only $24.95 per month. This option places your computer directly on the Internet while you're connected to the BBS. We offer space on our anonymous ftp and World Wide Web servers at very competitive rates, too!
